MOSCOW, August 30 - RAPSI. The Prosecutor Generals Office has sent to the Interior Ministry its investigative materials related to the embezzlement of 300 million rubles ($10.4 million) of funds allocated toward the "Electronic Russia" federal program for the period of 2002 until 2010, the prosecutors office reported on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Communication and Mass Media (Minkomsvyaz) and Rostelecom entered into state contracts worth over 2 billion rubles ($69.7 million) under the "Electronic Russia" federal target program.

In its investigation of Minkomsvyaz and Rostelecom, the Prosecutor Generals Office discovered the embezzlement was committed either through fraud or through abuse of trust.
