MOSCOW, August 30 - RAPSI. The Moscow District Courts indictment of a Federal Tax Service officer who accepted a 1.5 million ruble bribe (roughly $51,784) from a bank employee has come into effect, the Investigative Committees Main Investigative Department for Moscow told RIA Novosti.

The court found tax officer Sergei Shuporin, 26, guilty of accepting a bribe worth 1.5 million rubles from an employee of the Future bank for stopping a check connected with the exposure of tax legislation violations, the department told RIA Novosti.

The court sentenced Shuporin to 2.5 years in prison.

During the investigation, Shuporin admitted his guilt in full and asked the court to hear the case without examining the evidence.
