KIEV, September 1 - RAPSI. A Kiev district court is expected to consider several petitions filed by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko today, RIA Novosti reports.

Tymoshenkos defense has filed petitions seeking court permission to present a video of investigators actions, as well as to read certain case documents in full, and to admit into evidence other documents the defense considers related to the case.

Tymoshenkos former attorneys Nikolai Siry and Yuri Sukhov are also expected to attend todays hearing.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor Generals Office has charged Tymoshenko with abuse of power in connection with her approval of a Russian gas contract in 2009, while she was serving as prime minister.

Tymoshenko was arrested on August 5.
