MOSCOW, September 7 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Supreme Commercial Court is set to hear on November 8 the appeal filed by Rexam Beverage Can Naro-Fominsk and Rexam Beverage Can Vsevolozhsk against the lower court adverse judgment in its claim against the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The antimonopoly watchdog found that three Russian subsidiaries of Rexam Beverage Can Holdings B.V. , namely Rexam Beverage Can Naro-Fominsk, Rexam Beverage Can Vsevolozhsk and Rexam Beverage Can Dmitrov, which account for over 90% of Russias aluminum can production, abused their dominant market position and forced unfair contractual terms upon delivery companies in late 2009 and early 2010.

The subsidiaries challenged the watchdogs decision in court to no avail.

Rexam Beverage Can Holdings B.V. (UK), the worlds leading aluminum can producer, is headquartered in the UK. It entered the Russian market in the mid-1990s.
