MOSCOW, September 14 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A commercial court has adjourned until September 20 its hearing of a Danone subsidiary's challenge of a state procurement tender for baby food, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.

Nutricia, a Danone subsidiary, has contested the validity of a state procurement tender for baby food supplies in 2011 from which it was barred, and has requested termination of the relevant public contracts. Moskva Zlatoglavaya trading house won the tender to provide free baby food to Moscow residents. Moscow government departments and a state-run enterprise are involved in the case as co-defendants.

Upon the request of one of the defendants, the court declared a recess to allow the parties extra time to prepare for the trial.

Nutricia specializes in producing food for babies and infants. It has operated in Russia since 1994, and been a part of the international Danone food group since 2007.
