MOSCOW, September 28 - RAPSI, Diana Gutsul. A Moscow court postponed until October 21 its hearing of the Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs' (VEB) lawsuit against Boris Abramovich for over 42 million euro on Wednesday, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reports from the courtroom.

"Abramovich owes the bank more than 42 million euro as a guarantor. We request that the defendant repay the debt in rubles as well as pay the legal fees," the banks representative said, adding that previous claims amounted to about 40 million euro.

The third party to the litigation, the Air Bridge Zrt consortium, did not appear before the court. However, the judge read out a letter in which it accepted the debt and the claims, but stated its inability to pay at the moment.

The bank was reorganized in 2007 and inherited its name from Vnesheconombank, or VEB.
