MOSCOW, September 30 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. The court registered six lawsuits worth $131.7 million filed by the state VEB investment bank against a compressor manufacturer, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The authorities of Orenburg, a Russian city near the Kazakh border, said in April 2008 that VEB would invest over 150 million euro before 2009 to fulfill several projects in Orsk, the second largest city in the Orenburg region.

The authorities also said that starting from 2005 VEB would invest in the modern production of refrigerators, ranges and high-pressure cylinders at several Orsk plants, including the Orsk refrigerator plant, compressor plant and mechanical plant.

The Moscow Commercial Court received the lawsuits on August 19 and 24.

The court will hear the largest lawsuit worth 2.069 billion rubles ($64.9 million) on October 12. The court will also hear a $33.74 million lawsuit on November 9, while a $21.26 million lawsuit will be heard on October 19.

VEB also filed claims for $5.94 million, $1.43 million and 3.38 million euro.
