MOSCOW, October 3 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A commercial court satisfied on Monday the lawsuit filed by a state property watchdog against a major pipeline construction company, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reported on Monday.

The Federal State Property Management Agency claimed to evict Gazstroy from the building managed by the Maly Theater, one of Moscow's oldest theaters.
Gazstroy was established in 1970. It is engaged in pipeline construction in over 70 regions across Russia.

The State Academic Maly Theater was established in 1824.

The agency's representative stated at the hearing that the parties entered into a lease contract for a term of up to 2003, but then it was extended for an unidentified term. Under the lease any party could terminate the agreement by a one-month notice to the other party. Gazstroy was duly notified of its eviction, but since the company has remained in the building, the watchdog went to court.

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office reported in February 2011 that the State Academic Maly Theater was renting part of the building to businesses and entrepreneurs without proper documents and the consent of the agency's local branch, the building's owner.

According to the media sources, at the time of the government's check of the building, there were over 30 tenants.
