MOSCOW, October 18 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. A commercial court has partially satisfied a local transport company's action in which it seeks damages compensation from the Finance Ministry, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The court ordered the ministry to pay 210 million rubles ($6.8 million) although the company initially requested 63.7 million rubles ($2 million) more.

The Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Auto Transport stated that it is a commercial enterprise carrying passengers in the city and suburbs on a fee-for-service basis.

The claimant provided benefits for some categories of passengers in 2008, which resulted in substantial losses.

The court ruling reads that under the applicable city and regional fares the compensation has not covered the carrier's costs in full.
