MOSCOW, November 7 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A commercial court postponed until January 18 a hearing on the validity of the Sovietsky Hotel's own bankruptcy statement.

Hotel Sovietsky is the lessee of Hotel Sovietskaya, which has been operating since 1952.

The case was postponed to submit a bankruptcy statement to the company's 30 creditors. It was also postponed to grant additional documents to the court.

The company's representative said at the hearing that the hotel filed its statement as Hotel Sovietsky did not have sufficient assets to pay for its debt. The company's creditor indebtedness is 467.4 million rubles ($15.22 million).

Sovietskaya Hotel's owner requires the debt in rental payments and demands that the company be evicted from the building.
