MOSCOW, November 10 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The court has registered a bankruptcy petition filed by the Amphora trade and publishing house against the management company of Russia's leading toy retailer, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Moscow Commercial Court has yet to schedule the hearing date.

The Detsky Mir Group (Children's World) is the leading children's goods retailer in Russia. It comprises the major Detsky Mir retail chain and a number of other department stores. The group operates 132 department stores in 68 cities across Russia.

Under US GAAP, Detsky Mir's had a net profit of 33 million rubles ($1.1 million) in 2010 compared to 3.247 billion rubles in ($107.8 million) losses the year before. Its revenues increased by eight percent to 20.023 billion rubles ($664.4 million) year on year.
