MOSCOW, November 16 - RAPSI, Natalya Belova. A commercial court validated the lower courts' decisions obligating the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources to register a salt deposit development license on behalf of Russol, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

Russol was established in 2007 by the P-Holding for salt industry operations. Its specialization is industrial-use salt distribution and sales.

The Moscow Commercial Court sided with Russol on June 16 in its lawsuit to invalidate the denial of the Iletsk salt deposit's license renewal. Initially, the license was provided to Iletsksol in 2001. In March 2010, Iletsksol was reorganized. In June 2010, it applied for the license renewal. Later, its sole participant decided to join Russol and notified the agency. After the merger, Iletsksol ceased its operations.

In January, the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra) considered the renewal application and denied registration arguing that Iletsksol wound up its operations in September.

The court has dismissed the agency's appeal.
