MOSCOW, November 24 - RAPSI. A commercial court has held against Moscow City Advertising in its lawsuit against the revocation of 624 banner advertising permits, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Moscow Commercial Court confirmed on Wednesday the validity of the Moscow Mass Media and Advertising Department's August 2 decision to revoke 600 permits to install outside advertisements. The court also approved an August 8 resolution to revoke 24 similar permits.

Earlier, the court registered 11 lawsuits filed by advertising companies against the department to quash its decision to unilaterally terminate the contracts and revoke the advertising permits.

The ban on advertisements follows Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin's July 19 resolution.
