MOSCOW, December 5 - RAPSI. The court has ruled on Monday that former Euroset employee Andrey Yermilov should be paid nearly $94,000 for unfounded prosecution on kidnapping charges, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The court has only partially satisfied Yermilov's claim.

Earlier, the court passed two judgments in the case - first, granting over 3 million rubles ($97,400) to Yermilov, and then slightly over 2.6 million rubles ($84,400). However, the Supreme Court later overruled the decisions following Yermilov's objections. The Prosecutors Office and the Finance Ministry insisted on recalculating the amount.

The Moscow City Court acquitted nine suspects charged with kidnapping former Euroset employee Andrei Vlaskin on December 1, 2010. After the court's board reviewed the case, the sentence entered into force.

The court subsequently reviewed materials to rehabilitate several suspects. Former Euroset Vice President Boris Levin was paid over 20 million rubles ($649,000) in damages, and former security guard Vladimir Ilyin was awarded more than 800,000 rubles ($25,900).

The award amount was based on lost wages and other amounts that the suspect would have earned while in custody as the prosecution continued. They may also seek moral damages.

Euroset is a Moscow-based Russian mobile retailer with a ramified network of outlets.
