MOSCOW, December 9 - RAPSI, Natalia Belova. A federal commercial court will hear on January 18 the antimonopoly watchdog's appeal against the reversal of its decision that Russian Railways' car park insurance tenders were illegal, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The Federal Antimonopoly Service found in January that Russian Railways broke competition law in January when it provided advantages to certain insurers in bidding for compulsory TPL motor vehicle and hull insurance contracts for its motor vehicle fleet in 2009-2012.

Additionally, the watchdog noted the absence of the requisite information on the insured vehicles in the tender documents, which prevented insurers from offering a competitive price and created advantages for the company that previously insured the vehicles.

Russian Railways insists that the tender was conducted in conformity with the law and the tender conditions were equal for all tenderers.

The court is processing two more of the watchdog's applications to cancel the tender results. The hearings have been scheduled for December 13 and January 16.
