MOSCOW, December 21 - RAPSI. A commercial court will hear on July 18 a claim for $1,400 in damages against a social network service for unlawful music distribution, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reports from the courtroom.

The claim was filed with the Moscow Commercial Court by the Non-Profit Partnership for the Development of Music and Audiovisual Internet Market, which represents Monolit Records.

The partnership's director told RIA Novosti that the Odnoklassniki website distributes music, but has no contract with the copyright holder. The director said he has filed similar lawsuits against the VKontakte website. He stressed that he was unable to resolve the dispute with Odnoklassniki out of court.

RAPSI has failed to reach Odnoklassniki for comments.
