MOSCOW, December 22 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. A court declared the Capital Tour travel agency, one of the two companies operating under the same brand, bankrupt and commenced bankruptcy proceedings in it, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported on Thursday.

The creditor’s list includes 123 creditors which claim a total of 1.495 billion rubles ($47.10 million) from the tour operator.

Capital Tour’s total debt amounted to 1.576 billion rubles ($49.66 million) as of April.

Capital Tour was established in July 2003 as the first universal international travel agency. It is one of Russia’s top three travel agencies. It sells medium and high-budget tours to 40 countries through more than 20,000 travel companies in Russia, other CIS and Baltic countries.
