MOSCOW, December 23 - RAPSI. The Other Russia unregistered party leader, writer Eduard Limonov has filed an appealwith the Supreme Court against the refusal to register him as a candidate for the presidential elections, a party representative told the Russian Legal Information Agency.

"Limonov has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court to challenge the Central Election Committees decision to deny him registration as a candidate for presidency. Limonov requests to reverse the decision. At the same time Limonov applied for suspending the course of the presidential elections in order to provide for equal rights to its participants," said the source.

The Central Election Committee refused to register Limonov on December 18 as attachments to his application lacked the statement of voters registration for a meeting in support of Limonovs self-nomination.
