PYATIGORSK, January 23 - RAPSI. Dagestan Airlines has asked a commercial court to reverse the revocation of its operator's certificate, Deputy CEO Joseph Likhtman told RIA Novosti on Monday.

The certificate is a license to perform air carriage and air operations.

The Federal Air Transportation Agency revoked the certificate on December 19 due to violations in its air operations, aircraft maintenance, pilot training, labor regulations and other systemic drawbacks.

“We have gone to court because we think the decision made by the agency and the Southern Aviation Department is unlawful. We have committed some financial violations, but they do not constitute a reason to revoke the certificate,” Likhtman said.

The company's fleet consists of three Тu-154М, one Тu-154B-2, two Ту-134B, and one Аn-24PBV planes, as well as Мi-8 and Мi-8MTV helicopters.

Kuban Airlines is executing Dagestan Airlines’ obligations to passengers who bought tickets.
