MOSCOW, January 26 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. Constitutional Court chairman Valery Zorkin said that commercial courts are crucial for establishing the private property institution in Russia, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported.

"Russia has seen fundamental changes in property relations over the recent years and we are now going through a hard and painful recovery and establishment of the private property institution and free enterprise based on it. The judicial system in general, and the commercial court system, in particular, play a key role in this process," said Zorkin at international conference "Role of the Judicial Power in the Development of Civil Society."

Zorkin also addressed the importance of the Constitutional Court for the development of legal system in Russia.

The Supreme Commercial Court holds the final meeting of commercial courts' chairpersons and the international conference on January 25-26." The events are associated with the 20th anniversary of the commercial court system in Russia.
