ST. PETERSBURG, March 27 - RAPSI. The Commercial Court of the Republic of Karelia invalidated the antimonopoly service's order to fine Gazprom Mezhregiongaz St. Petersburg $10,360 for violating antimonopoly legislation.

The company disputed the service's ruling as of February 1, 2012. The courts decision does not specify reasons for declaring the watchdog's act illegal.

Gazprom Mezhregiongaz St. Petersburg was fined $10,360 for violating the competition law.

According to the service's estimates, in 2008-2010 the company unreasonably used gas wholesale prices for legal entities rather than prices set for population when carrying out monetary settlements with a householders' society and a housing construction cooperative.

Gazprom Mezhregiongaz St. Petersburg is part of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group and the largest supplier of natural gas in North-Western Federal District selling more than 19 billion of cubic meters a year.
