MOSCOW, April 4 - RAPSI. The Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals will hear on May 2 the Moscow Unified Grid Company's appeal against the antimonopoly service decision to fine it $15.8 million.

The Moscow Commercial Court held against the grid's lawsuit against the watchdog's Moscow branch on February 17. The company then challenged the service's decision dated December 9, 2011 to impose a 460.8 million ruble ($15.8 million) fine.

The watchdog's commission found that the company breached competition law by infringing the interests of the Liberi company when it refused to execute a contract on the connection of a Liberi's property to the power distribution network.

According to the connection regulations the grid company should within the established time deliver to the applicant a draft contract and specifications, but the company was late by one and a half month. Therefore, the watchdog resolved that it was trying to evade the contract execution.
