MOSCOW, April 19 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has registered an application for the bankruptcy of the United Grain Company.

The application was filed by Bereslavka Port, which stored the company's grain.

The court has yet to schedule the hearing date.

United Grain Company conducts commodity and procurement interventions on the grain market and is entirely state owned. Its charter capital, estimated at 3.49 billion rubles ($118 million), comprises equity of 30 companies in federal ownership. Plans are in place for full privatization by 2017.

The company considers the bankruptcy application an abuse of law and is determined to repay its debt to the applicant within the shortest period, Prime information agency reports.
