MOSCOW, April 19 - RAPSI. The Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals has upheld the Moscow Commercial Court's decision invalidating a Defense Ministry order to sell land on the Gulf of Finland, the Prosecutor General's Office reports on Thursday.

The court invalidated the order on July 28, 2010 to sell two land plots with a total area of 11,278 square meters on the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg, the Prosecutor General's Office stated.

The order approved a plan stipulating the disposal of military property, including land on the Gulf of Finland. Pursuant to the law, the land should have been disposed for common use. However, it was sold to the TransStroy company, the Prosecutor General's Office said.

The Military Prosecutor's Office has also asked the court to invalidate the land sale deal and to return the plots to the state.
