DOMODEDOVO, April 25 - RAPSI. The Interior Ministry will soon create a database to monitor online criminal investigations and minor offenses committed by police officers.

The ministry ordered the system's development, First Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Gorovoi said.

He added that the system will integrate existing databases and allow investigations of these crimes to be monitored online.

Gorovoi noted that roughly 80 percent of the criminal cases against police officers that are investigated by the Investigative Committee are uncovered by the Interior Ministry's Internal Security Service and other ministerial services.

The Investigative Committee reported last week that it would establish a special department responsible for investigating crimes committed by police officers.
