MOSCOW, July 16 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court ordered the Sredniye Torgovye Ryady development company to pay bankrupt Mezhprombank $174.5 million in debt under a lawsuit filed by the bank's receiver, the receiver told the Russian Legal Information Agency in court on Monday.

The Deposit Insurance Agency is the bank's receiver. The plaintiff sought the repayment of a debt under 10 loan agreements.

The court satisfied the claims in eight loan agreements and turned down claims in two loans totaling about 300 million rubles ($9 million).

The developer disputed the amount, arguing that it repaid its liabilities.

The agency explained that the loans have been repaid in full, but the payments were recognized by the court as dubious transactions.

Sredniye Torgovye Ryady is associated with the United Industrial Corporation owned by former Senator Sergei Pugachyov. The company was established to implement an investment project to reconstruct the historical appearance of the marketplace on Moscow's Red Square.
