MOSCOW, September 12 - RAPSI. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has requested that the UK seize the assets of Boris Berezovsky, as well as those of Badri Patarkatsishvili's family, according to a deputy inquire made available to RIA Novosti.

"At this point, the investigative authorities are establishing the extent and status of the assets belonging to the Patarkatsishvili family and to Berezovsky in the process to seize them. Following this, preliminary investigation authorities plan to prepare a request for legal assistance in the seizure of the property," the document reads.

Berezovsky, who is wanted by Russian authorities on charges of fraud and deceoption, has been hiding from the Russian authorities in the United Kingdom since 2000. In 2003, a British court refused to extradite the businessman. Patarkatsishvili, Berezovsky's accomplice and well known Georgian oppositionist and businessman, died in 2008 in his house in London. He had a wife and two daughters.
