MOSCOW, September 24 - RAPSI. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a set of regulations on the relocation of victims, witnesses and other individuals involved in criminal proceedings so as to safeguard their security, reads the document posted on the government's website.

The regulations have been adopted in accordance with Article 10 of the Federal Law On the State Protection of Aggrieved Parties, Witnesses and Other Individuals Involved in Criminal Proceedings.

Relocations will be carried out at federal government expense.

The protected will be able to change their credentials before the relocation. This, together with the whole relocation process, will be completely confidential.

The place of relocation will be selected by a special authority and will depend on the nature of the danger threatening the individual.
