MOSCOW, September 27 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has held for Giorgio Armani SpA in its claim against Russian businessman Vladimir Maximov, thus ordering the latter to provide the company with the acqudigio.ru domain name free of charge as he was found to have infringed the Acqua Di Gio trademark rights, a court spokesperson told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

Giorgio Armani had previously registered the Acqua Di Gio trademark and used it for the name of its eau de toilette. When Maximov registered the acqudigio.ru website, the Italian company took the matter to court.

The court has declared Maximov's administration of acqudigio.ru unlawful and has banned him from using the internationally registered Acqua Di Gio trademark in the disputed domain name.
