MOSCOW, September 28 - RAPSI. Investigators have returned TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak the money that was seized from her during a raid on her apartment which was part of the May 6 Moscow riots investigation, the Investigative Committee's press service told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

Over 1 million euros, $480,000 and 480,000 rubles ($15,500) were confiscated from her.

"Sobchak has been notified of the return of her money," the committee's spokesperson said.

Sobchak has been involved in the opposition rallies and was fined for holding an unauthorized rally.

On the eve of the March of Millions on June 12, the committee searched her apartment as part of the May 6 Bolotnaya Square riots case. The money was seized during the search. It later became known that an in-house audit of Sobchak's tax returns for 2011 had been scheduled.

"A tax audit performed at a tax investigator's order showed that Ksenia Sobchak has not evaded tax," the Investigative Committee's message reads.

"There is no reason for the Investigative Committee to keep hold of the confiscated funds any longer. The investigators therefore decided to return the money to its proprietor," the press release reads.
