MOSCOW, October 3 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has dismissed Glavmosstroy's defamation lawsuit regarding a claim that former Deputy Moscow Mayor Vladimir Resin gave half the municipal housing construction orders in the capital to the company, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) on Wednesday.

Public Coalition in Support of Moscow Coordinator Roman Tkach was the defendant in the case.

He said at a news conference in June that Resin is the head of the company and he signed a resolution in summer 2010 granting the firm half the municipal housing construction orders in Moscow.

Glavmosstroy's lawyer denied the allegations, stating that Resin did not sign such a resolution. He added that Resin is a Glavmosstroy board member representing the Moscow government, and not the head of the company.

Glavmosstroy sought to recover from Tkach the symbolic sum of 1 ruble (30 cents). The developer also asked the court to order the defendant to hold another news conference and refute the allegations.

The Regnum Publishing House, the founder of the REX information agency, was a defendant in the case.

Tkach's statements were published on Regnum's website.

Glavmosstroy asked the court to force Regnum to publish the commercial court's ruling in the case. Resin took part in the case as a third party without any claims.

In May, the commercial court suspended the proceedings, as a linguistic expert examination of the statement in dispute was held upon the plaintiff's request.

Founded in 1954, Glavmosstroy is a general contractor engaged in civil engineering and construction. It is part of the Glavstroy Holding, which is headed by Oleg Deripaska's Basic Element.
