MOSCOW, October 26 - RAPSI. Judicial candidates in Russia may be required to undergo psychological testing, Izvestia daily reported on Friday.

The newspaper obtained a classified document from the Moscow Regional Court based on the results of a trial psychological examination for judicial candidates.

The newspaper states that the examination looks into the individual psychological features of each individual, the specific way he or she thinks, their IQ level, communication skills and organizing skills. In addition, the candidate's alleged strengths and weaknesses are also highlighted.

"The result of the examination is confidential, though one copy is submitted to the judicial qualification board, and another is attached to the candidate's file," Izvestia reported

A Just Russia faction deputy Tatyana Moskaleva does not rule out the possibility that in the future the experiment conducted at the Moscow Regional Court may become a legal requirement. She also said that the professional community was actively discussing whether judicial candidates should be required to to undergo polygraph examinations.
