MOSCOW, December 14 - RAPSI, Sergei Feklyunin. The Moscow Commercial Court has registered a lawsuit filed by Transstroy Engineering Corporation, part of Oleg Deripaska's Transstroy, to recover 1.491 billion rubles ($48.7 million) from the Olimpstroy state corporation, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The date for the hearings has not yet been set.

Transstroy Deputy CEO Dmitry Oleynik told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) that the claims are concerned only with the Engineering Protection of Sochi's Imereti Lowland construction.

The plaintiff, who is a general contractor, requires compensation for the expenses incurred by the project's implementation.

Oleynik said that the situation arose due to errors and inaccuracies in the design which were rectified during construction.

Olimpstroy could not comment on the situation saying that it had not received the lawsuit yet.

A central stadium and large and small ice rinks were to be built in the Imereti lowland. The stadium will be hosting the Sochi Olympic Games' opening ceremony.
