MOSCOW, February 21 - RAPSI. The Moscow City Court will hear an appeal filed by the Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov against his house arrest, Basmanny Court spokesman, Yekaterina Korotova, told RAPSI.

The court ruled to further restrict Udaltsov's movements from a pledge to not leave the city to house arrest, on February 9, thus granting the prosecutors motion to isolate Udaltsov until April 6, 2013.

The opposition activist is accused of organizing riots and the use of violence against police during a rally on May 6, 2012 on Moscows Bolotnaya Square, as well as organizing mass riots in Russia.

In October 2012, Udaltsov was ordered not to leave the city. On February 8, investigators requested that he be put under house arrest, as he allegedly violated the former ruling.

Udaltsov does not live at his place of registration for long periods, and his mobile phone is typically switched off, Russias Investigative Committee has reported. While released under a pledge to not leave the city, the activist continues to commit unlawful acts, investigators claim.
