MOSCOW, March 18 - RAPSI. The US-based Ploom company has filed three lawsuits with the Moscow Commercial Court on the early termination of the protection of several tobacco brands, the court told RAPSI Monday.

Ploom operates on the market of innovations in tobacco consumption.

Ploom's lawsuit against Davidoff & Cie SA concerning the Zino Platinum Rocket brand will be heard on August 28, as well as the company's lawsuit against House of Prince A/S regarding its 20 Rockets and 20 Rockets Full Flavour brands.

Meanwhile, Ploom's lawsuit against Donskoy Tabak concerning the Raketa brand will be heard on April 10. The reasons for filing the lawsuits will be announced during the hearings.

The brands in question are registered with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) in the Nice Class 34 ("tobacco; smokers' articles; matches; lighters for smokers".)

Ploom is based in San Francisco, California, and was established in 2004. The company has become world renowned for its tobacco consumption inventions. Ploom sells smoking devices and tobacco mixtures.
