NOVOSIBIRSK, August 15 (RAPSI) - The Kirov district court in Novosibirsk has handed down a 2,5-year suspended sentence with 3 years' probation to Mikhail Nesterenko, one of the defendants in the case of planting a bomb in the mosque in 2012, RIA Novosti reported on Thursday.

The court took into account Nesterenko's acknowledgement of guilt and pretrial immunity agreement.

Nesterenko was found guilty of illegal manufacture of explosive bomb, illegal keeping and trafficking of explosives and attempted intentional damage to property.  Earlier, the second defendant Nikita Danilov was sentenced to a suspended 3-year prison term with 3 years' probation.

The bomb was found in the mosque under construction in Novosibirsk on October 23, 2012. According to the experts, the force of bomb equaled 300-700g of trotyl.
