MOSCOW, April 4 (RAPSI) – Investigators launched a criminal case after the Omsk cheese factory employees posted online a photo of themselves bathing in milk, official spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin told journalists on Friday.

Since mid-2011, the cheese factory has been producing Chechil cheese under the Syroyedovo and Adygeya brands. The investigators believe that the plant has seriously violated sanitary and epidemiological rules.

On Wednesday, a court ordered the temporary shutdown of the plant. The shutdown will last for 40 days, by which point all violations are expected to have been corrected.
According to Markin, the cheese factory has sold over 49 tons of its production in 14 Russian cities since the beginning of the year.
