MOSCOW, August 20 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has granted a lawsuit filed by Mazda Motor Corporation against Business Group seeking to forbid the company from unauthorized importing of Mazda-branded goods to Russia, RAPSI reported Wednesday from the courtroom.

The court ruled that car parts bearing Mazda trademark were imported to Russia by Business Group in violation of the law. The court ordered that those items which were listed on the customs declaration filed by the defendant should be confiscated and destroyed.

Business Group was banned from unauthorized using Mazda trademarked name and importing of trademarked goods to Russia from countries that are not parties to the Agreement on Unified Principles of Regulation in the Spheres of Intellectual Property Rights Protection.

Business Group’s representative did not attend the hearings.
