MOSCOW, August 22 (RAPSI) - Russia's Intellectual Property Court (IP Court) has set an appeal hearing in Land Rover case over the Road Rover brand on October 6, RAPSI learnt in the court Friday.

The disputed brand was registered in 2012 with the patent agency (Rospatent) by Audiosistemy company based in the Moscow region.

The British motor company is seeking to lift the legal protection of the registered brand. The company claims that it bears a confusing similarity to the Land Rover trademark.

Rospatent on June 18, 2013, dismissed the application over the Road Rover brand which was filed by Land Rover.

The company turned to the IP Court which ruled in June that the decision of the patent agency should be reconsidered. Rospatent appealed against the ruling.
