MOSCOW, March 18 (RAPSI) – New York real estate mogul, Robert Durst, will not be extradited to Los Angeles where he is accused of murder until New Orleans authorities finish with their own unrelated case against him, The Guardian reported on Wednesday.

Durst was detained in New Orleans’ Marriott Hotel on March 14 for unlawful marijuana possession and for carrying a gun while being under illegal substance influence.  Charges against tycoon are believed to be resolved next week, The Guardian reported.

Los Angeles authorities charged Durst with murder of his former friend, Susan Berman, on March 16. Berman was killed in 2000, her murder is one of the several cold cases closely related to Durst, The Guardian reported.

According to The Guardian, Los Angeles police deny the connection between charges against mogul and HBO documentary series “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst”. Last episode of the series was shown on March 15 and concluded with dramatic revelation by Durst himself. He spoke to himself in a bathroom while microphone was still live and said: "What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course".
