MOSCOW, April 22 (RAPSI) – The Supreme Court of Dagestan has sentenced former republic’s Vice-Prime Minister Magomedguseyn Nasrutdinov to 5 years in prison for fraud, RIA Novosti reported on Friday.

Nasrutdinov was also fined 1 million rubles ($15,400).

A criminal case was opened against Nasrutdinov in 2013. According to investigators, ex-Deputy Prime Minister along with his accomplices forged documents by which property of gas networks belonging to nine municipal districts passed into the ownership of Daggaz company, where Nasrutdinov was the board chairman and a shareholder, for 58 million rubles ($892,000), while their market value was much higher.
