MOSCOW, August 22 (RAPSI) – Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has announced that it suspects eighteen high-ranking Russian officials and military officers of committing crimes against national security, RIA Novosti reported on Monday citing Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

He added that among suspects are advisor of the Russian President, former representative of the President in Crimean Federal District, Russian Defense Minister and two of his deputies as well as ten high-ranking generals.

Lutsenko added that suspects were properly notified about the suspicions and were summoned to participate in investigative procedures. All suspects were put on the national wanted list; preparations for arrest are being made.
