MOSCOW, January 27 (RAPSI, Oleg Sivozhelezov) – The Investigative Committee’s Crimean Directorate has completed investigation into a criminal case against former head of the government’s Service for automobile roads of the Republic of Crimea, the Investigative Committee’s website reads on Friday.

The defendant is charged with negligence which caused damages to the regional budget estimated at 46 million rubles (around $780,000). The case has already reached a court.

According to investigators, in June-December 2014, former head of the service acted negligently by ineffectively using money for ensuring the organization of road safety on the roads of Crimea. Various media reported that defendant in this case is Vasily Savchenko who was the Service’s head from December 31, 2014 till October 2, 2015.
