MOSCOW, February 28 (RAPSI) – Russian courts review more and more cases involving foreign investors and are determined to uphold their rights, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday citing Chairman of the Russian Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev.

According to Lebedev, number of reviewed disputes involving foreign citizens and Russian citizens with foreign funds rose in recent years and in 87% of cases Russian courts rule in their favor.

Lebedev added that the Supreme Court will prepare explanations for such cases with priorities being egalitarian and just attitude towards foreign investors, upheld stability and transparency of government regulation.

“It should be noted that an investor is a weaker party in relationship with the government,” Lebedev said.
