MOSCOW, April 10 (RAPSI) – Ex-chief accountant of the Moscow Region Commercial Court and the 10th Commercial Court of Appeals Natalya Khristosova has received a 4-year prison term for embezzlement of more than 20 million rubles ($351,400), a spokesperson of Moscow’s Zamoskvoretsky District Court told RAPSI on Monday.

The Zamoskvoretsky District Court also collected about 20.9 million rubles ($367,200) in damages from the woman.

Investigators believe that from March to December 2013, funds temporarily held by the Moscow Region Commercial Court were transferred to the accounts of firms controlled by Kristosova and her accomplices. According to preliminary data, conspirators embezzled around 16.8 million rubles ($295,150).

Moreover, between July and December 2014, the woman stole over 4 million rubles ($70,270) from the deposit account of the 10th Commercial Court of Appeals in the same way.

As previously reported, Khristosova has pleaded guilty only to embezzling 600,000 rubles ($10,540).
