MOSCOW, May 15 (RAPSI, Lyudmila Klenko) – A court ruling to put former governor of Russia’s Chelyabinsk Region Mikhail Yurevich suspected of taking 26 million rubles ($451,600) in bribes on the federal and international wanted list has been appealed, lawyer Igor Trunov told RAPSI on Monday.

Earlier, a court in Yekaterinburg dismissed investigators’ motion to arrest Yurevich in absentia.

Investigators believe that Yurevich regularly received bribes. Their amount was estimated at 26 million rubles.

Moreover, he allegedly instigated Oleg Grachev, who had been appointed to the position of the First Deputy Governor of the region, to spread libel about ex-chairman of the Chelyabinsk Regional Court Fyodor Vyatkin.
