MOSCOW, July 13 (RAPSI, Yevgeniya Sokolova) – The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow on Thursday ordered McDonald’s to pay 300,000 rubles (about $5,000) to Moscow resident Oksana Chernyavskaya, who had received injuries from a fall in the restaurant, RAPSI reports from the courtroom.

During the hearing, the plaintiff affirmed her claim stating that the treatment is not yet completed but she had already paid for all needed medical procedures.

A lawyer representing McDonald’s asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit by Chernyavskaya because she did not prove unlawfulness of the defendant’s actions. According to the attorney, there was a caution board in the restaurant warning visitors of a wet floor.

A prosecutor supported the lawsuit but asked the court to collect less than 1 million rubles ($16,700) from the defendant.

According to the claim, on October 31, 2016, Chernyavskaya visited on of the McDonald's restaurants with her children. The woman slipped on the wet floor, fell over and lost two anterior teeth. She filed a lawsuit with the court demanding 1 million rubles in compensation.
