ST. PETERSBURG, July 28 (RAPSI, Mikhail Telekhov) – Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks in St. Petersburg, the Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on its website on Friday.

According to the FSB, the suspects were plotting terrorist attacks in the rail sector and at places of mass gathering.

Investigative and operational activities are currently being held. The suspects’ identities have not been disclosed for legal reasons, the statement reads.
