MOSCOW, December 21 (RAPSI) – The High Court of Justice in London has commenced legal proceedings against former owners and officers of PrivatBank, including Ukrainian billionaire Igor Kolomoisky, ordering to seize $2.5 billion in total, the bank’s press-release reads.

According to PrivatBank, on December 19, the court froze assets of Kolomoisky, businessman Gennady Bogolyubov as well as six companies believed to be under their control.

The bank believes that Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov extracted almost $2 billion through “series of dishonest transactions” and transferred money to their companies. PrivatBank seeks to recover over $2.5 billion from them.
