MOSCOW, March 7 (RAPSI) – A court of Chelyabinsk has fined a woman having the nationality of South Korea 30,000 rubles (about $530) for illegal missionary activity in Russia, the regional prosecutor’s office reports Wednesday on its website.

According to prosecutors, the woman created an unregistered religious organization in Chelyabinsk, a Russian cell of The World Mission Society Church of God, where she held meetings with the group members, delivered sermons and collected donations.

Following an inspection conducted in the organization prosecutors opened an administrative case over illegal religious activities carried out by a foreign citizen, the statement reads.

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) was stablished  in South Korea in 1964 by a man named Ahn Sahng-Hong.
